How do I access video or phone interpretation services?

MCIS’ newly launched state of the art Canadian call centre offers customers access to our on-demand telephone & video interpretation services via telephone or through our MCIS Boostlingo app.

For on-demand telephone services customers will be provided with unique Client Identification Number (CIN), instructions as well as training on how to access this service. Third-party calling is included in the service at no additional cost. Click on the following link for more information.

To access Video Remote Interpretation services:

  1. Log into your account using your credentials on the MCIS/ Boostlingo app. Ensure that you have a VRI-enabled account.
  2. Set Up a Video Call: On the platform, select the VRI option. You can choose a video session either as a scheduled service or for immediate access if your account supports on-demand VRI.
  3. Choose Language and Interpreter: Specify the language pair and any interpreter requirements (such as certifications or specialties). Boostlingo will match you with an available interpreter.
  4. Initiate the Call: After selecting the language and interpreter, click "Start Video Session" or a similar command to begin the VRI session.
  5. Engage in the Session: Use the video call to connect in real-time with your interpreter, handling communication as needed for the client session.
  6. End Session: Once complete, end the call through the platform. You’ll receive a summary or log, depending on account settings.
